Volkswagen Malaysia today kicked off the second half of the year with three R-Line models, unveiled at One Utama Shopping mall in Petaling Jaya. \u00a0The Volkswagen Passat, Arteon and New Tiguan Allspace models are now fitted with\u00a0R-Line trim to look and performance.<\/p>\n

The VW Passat R-Line<\/h2>\n

The VW Passat R-Line is an updated version of the 8th-generation Passat. There are front and rear updates for the R-Line Passat, namely front LED lights with sequential signal light, rear lights with sequential sigmals and three-wing light, and larger Passat markings. The car is more refined on the inside with ambient lighting (up to 30 colors), better leather seats, an upgraded infotainment system, an 11..7-inch touchscreen, and a whole suite of creature comforts.<\/p>\n

Maintaining the 190PS 2.0-liter TSI engine, VW included a new 7-speed wet dual-speed gearbox (DSG) for the Passat R-Line. Assistance and Safety systems are pretty much similar to the current Passat Elegance.<\/p>\n

Price for the Passat R-Line is RM187,990\u00a0<\/strong>and it includes\u00a0<\/strong>a year\u2019s freeinsurance and complimentary pair of TVR sunglasses worth RM1,890, for first 50 buyers.<\/p>\n

The VW Arteon R-Line<\/h2>\n

The second\u00a0R-Line model\u00a0is none other than the New Arteon R-Line. Globally revealed in 2017, but only gets its Malaysian debut in 2020. The Arteon R-Line is domestically assembled at VW plant in Pekan in the State of Pahang.<\/p>\n

A sleek flagship sedan from the people at Wolfsburg, the Arteon fastback is currently the most desirable model from Volkswagen. By adding R-Line to it, VW simply makes the Arteon more irresistible and sporty than its standard variant.<\/p>\n

As an R-Line model, the Arteon\u2019s head-turning front-end is complemented with an aggressive chrome grille with R-Line badge, LED headlights with dynamic indicators, a rugged black rear spoiler and\u00a019-inch Montevideo wheels. The profile and rear\u00a0of the Arteon R-Line is highlighted by chrome trimmings and lights with dynamic signals.<\/p>\n

The interior is all about premium features like the driver\u2019s 14-way ErgoComfort seat with massage function, decked in R-Line badging. The car has a 700W \u00a0Dynaudio sound system with 11 speakers, along with 16 channel digital amplifier and subwoofer. Personalized digital cockpit is the theme for this R-Line, to go along with Silver inserts, titanium Black headliner, analogue clock, ambient lighting and a best-in-class 563 liters boot capacity.<\/p>\n

The Arteon R-Line is offered with a 2.0TSI paired to a 7-speed double wet clutch direct shift gearbox (DSG) to churn an output of 190PS and torque of 320Nm. For those wanting to customize their drive, the Arteon R-Line comes with Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC), which offers up to 15 selectable increments and five different driving modes: \u00a0Eco, Comfort, Normal, Sport and Individual.<\/p>\n

The Arteon R-Line is offered in five colors: Manganese Grey, Turmeric Yellow and Pyrite Silver, Deep Black and Oryx White Pearl, at a price of RM225,490.<\/p>\n

The Tiguan Allspace R-Line<\/h2>\n

For the Malaysian market, there are two variants of the Tiguan Allspace, the Highline 1.4TSI and R-Line 2.0TSI. Both SUVs are assembled locally to keep costs low.<\/p>\n

The exterior of VW\u2019s SUV has redesigned front- and rear-ends. A higher bonnet is paired to sharp lines to give it a bold outlook. The wheelbase of the 7-seater SUV is longer, which indicates a roomier cabin and a bigger boot space, which is expandable from 700 to 1,775 liters.<\/p>\n

With R-Line add-ons, the Tiguan Allspace gets some performance elements like 19-inch Sebring wheels, a souped up 2,0TSI with output up to 220PS\/350Nm and a 4MOTION \u00a0all-wheel drive system. Inside, there\u2019s the digital cockpit\u2019s 9.2-in touchscreen, leather seats and all your multimedia needs.<\/p>\n

The Tiguan Allspace Highline and R-Line variants is available in Blue Silk, Pure White, Deep Black, Platinum Grey and Pyrite Silver. Price for the Tiguan Allspace Highline is RM 169,990 and Tiguan Allspace R-Line is RM213,490.
